Postmortem says Kunda DSP was beaten, then shot

Update on the murder of DSP Zia-ul-Haque. The postmortem report accessed by CNN IBN says the Deputy superintendent of police was first beaten then shot.

The report also said Haque had received grievous injuries. Posted as Circle Officer at Pratapgarhs Kunda, Haque reached the crime scene to investigate the violence, but he was attacked by the angry mob. During the clash between the police force and the mob, Haque was beaten badly and reportedly hit on the head. He was then shot on the leg and chest.

The DSP was reportedly dragged through the village by four men, who are allegedly associates of Raja Bhaiya. The officer succumbed to injuries on Saturday night.
