Rajasthan Police has arrested a Union home ministry official in connection with an espionage case in which a suspected ISI agent was arrested in Pokhran last month.

"The employee was summoned here from Delhi for questioning on Sunday and was placed under arrest on Monday night for sharing classified information with the spy. He will be produced in a local court in Jaipur on Tuesday," Addl DGP (Intelligence) Dalpat Singh Dinkar said.

The accused had links with Sumer Khan, who was arrested on February 24 for allegedly sharing information regarding defence instalments and activities near the border area in the desert state, police said.

Khan allegedly shared information about IAF's fire power exercise 'Iron Fist' held on February 22 in Pokhran in Jaisalmer district with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.
