Cong gets more fuel for anti-BJP fire over Aamir Raza Husain's resignation

The resignation of Delhi BJP vice-president Aamir Raza Husain over Narendra Modi's "puppy" remarks today gave Congress a fresh handle to attack the opposition party.

"If Aamir Raza Husain could say/do the right thing wonder why all former socialists who joined BJP quiet? "Where do Shahnawazji & Naqviji stand?," Congress leader and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari tweeted this morning.

Tewari was referring to BJP national vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain.

In what is being seen as the first fallout within the BJP over Modi's "puppy" remark, Husain, a well-known theatre personality, tendered his resignation yesterday.
