EC gears up for state polls, summons electoral officers

The Election Commission has summoned the Chief Electoral Officers of Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to New Delhi to gear up for the upcoming state assembly polls. The Chief Electoral Officers of these states are to make a power point presentation before the three-member bench of the EC where V S Sampath, HV Brahma and Nazim Zaidi will be present.

There is a likelihood of V S Sampath going to Madhya Pradesh in the first week of August, while HV Brahma will go to Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh in mid August. Zaidi will overlook the Delhi assembly poll preparations in the first week of August.
