Vicky Nanjappa reports: MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who was remanded to judicial custody in connection with an assault case, was granted bail on Thursday.

The Sanga Reddy court, which heard his plea, granted him bail on the condition that he cooperate with the investigation.

Owaisi was booked for obstructing a government employee from doing his work. The case was registered in 2005 but an arrest warrant was issued recently, following which he surrendered before the court.

He was later remanded to judicial custody.
