Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde holds a press briefing on security developments in the capital. He says a prominent Jaish militant was killed, even as a breakthrough has been made in the Malegaon terror attack case. In the capital specific women's helplines to be prominently displayed, patrolling on motorcycles to be tightened, says Shinde and claimed that he had reviewed security measures in Delhi yesterday. "NGOs and ex-servicemen to oversee women's security issues," announces Shinde.

On the Latehar Naxal attack, Shinde confirms that a bomb was indeed placed in the abdomen of the CRPF personnel's body. "Naxals keep changing tactics constantly, we will be prepared for them," he says.
