Women unwilling to work in night shift after Delhi gangrape case

Women are scared and hesitant to work in night shifts after the gangrape and murder of 23-year-old paramedical student in Delhi, according to an Assocham survey. 

The survey reveals that women are afraid of working in night shifts as they feel that there is a lot of risk involved and some of them have also quit their jobs as it involved working in night.

According to the survey working women are desperate to go home after sunset as they are apprehensive of a mishap while returning. 

Assocham report is a revelation about the state of the women mindset following the barbarous Delhi gangrape case on December 16.

A total of 2500 women working in Delhi-NCR were included in the survey. Those surveyed work in IT and BPO companies where night shifts are involved.
