Magnitude 6.3 quake causes no damage in Russia

Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry says that a magnitude 6.3 earthquake in the Pacific off the far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula has caused no casualties or damage. 

The ministry said in a statement that the epicenter of today's quake was located about 65 kilometers east of the Kamchatka coast at a depth of 69 kilometers. It said that the temblor was felt as a magnitude 4 in the provincial capital of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy and other nearby areas.
