Afzal Guru to be hanged

Afzal Guru, who was sentenced to death in the December 13, 2001, attack on Parliament case, will be hanged in Tihar Jail today. The President rejected his mercy petition this week. Curfew has been imposed in all towns in the Kashmir valley, to prevent protests against the execution. Guru is a resident of Sopore in Kashmir.
