US will work with Narendra Modi if he becomes PM: Condoleezza Rice

Bharatiya Janata Party, riding high on its victory in the recent assembly elections, has more reason to cheer. In a major boost to BJP Prime Ministerial Narendra Modi, former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice claimed the Gujarat riots were no longer an issue and the US would work with Modi if he became the Prime Minister.

Speaking to Karan Thapar on CNN-IBN's Devil's Advocate talk show, Rice said, "I think we have put behind us the past and we have established the foundation for the future and now it's a matter of pursuing on a consistent basis at all levels in both countries the fruits and benefits of that foundation that we put in place."
