Why is Sushma silent on Asaram: asks Digvijay

Congress leader Digvijay Singh today accused BJP, in particular its leader Sushma Swaraj, of double standards, asking why she was silent on rape allegations against controversial godman Asaram Bapu when she has been vocal on the issue of atrocities on women.

In a tweet, he expressed surprise as to why Swaraj, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha is "quiet" in Asaram's case despite being the "most vocal voice" of BJP against atrocities against women.

"The most vocal voice of BJP against atrocities against women has been Sushma Swaraj. Why is she quiet in Asharam Bapu's case", he said.

"I want to know from Sushma why she has not said a word on Asaram whom a minor girl has charged with molestation," Singh said.
