Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has cautioned against immature and unwise handling of social media phenomena. While speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a media centre in New Delhi, the prime minister said, "Media is spirit of inquiry, but it must not morph into a campaign of calumny'. A witch-hunt is no substitute for investigative journalism, he added.
