JD-U National Executive meet starts today
April 13, 2013  10:10

The two-day National Executive of the JD-U, a crucial ally in the BJP-led NDA coalition, starts today.

Though party leaders remained tight-lipped about the issues which are likely to be discussed at the meet, there are clear indications that the party will vehemently oppose the projection of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi within NDA for the top job.

Earlier, JD-U President Sharad Yadav had evaded a direct reply on whether the party will oppose the projection of Modi by the BJP.

"We had never compromised on the issue of secularism nor will we do so now," he said.
