A few Tamil Nadu Congress leaders are upset that the Rajiv Gandhi memorial in Sriperumbudur is not getting the attention of the DMK's TR Baalu, who happens to be the MP from there.

In a communique to the AICC, these leaders have said that Baalu has never visited the constituency or bothered to spend time at the memorial. In fact, Baalu is grooming his son TR Raaja for the assembly constituency in Thanajuvr.

The TN Cong leaders have written about the building of a railway track and a sports stadium and the diversion of the National Highway through his son TR Raaja's assembly segments. TNCC leaders are also apprehensive of the conflict of interest in Baalu's actions.

In the event of Baalu deserting Sriperambudur and concentrating on the Thanjavur Parliament seat -- it is certainly likely that the two will take more interest in business and industrial houses situated in and near Thanjavur.

TNCC leaders have now decided to approach the Election Commission and DMK boss N Karunanidhi.
