Haryana IAS officer Ashok Khemka has been transferred out of the land registration department three days after he started an inquiry into land deals by Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.
Khemka, who has been transferred 43 times in the last 20 years, told CNN IBN, "I suspect I was transferred for probing Vadra-DLF deal. I was demoted by the government."
"I did my duty by exposing the deal. I chose to act although it involved a VIP," he added.
Khemka says that he now fears for his family. "But I will continue to fight against corruption. I am not an escapist. I will remain in public service till I retire."
More details are awaited.
