PM seeks 'clear definition' for corruption
October 10, 2012  10:57
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said the Prevention of Corruption Act may be reviewed by the Centre to "protect honest public servants".

His comments come in the wake of the Congress-led UPA facing considerable flak over a slew of corruption allegations.

"Experience has also shown that big ticket corruption is mostly related to operations by commercial entities. A clear and unambiguous definition for the term 'corruption', covering both the supply and demand sides, is being sought to be provided. Prevention of Corruption Act to be amended to fill gaps in the legislation and bringing it in line with international practices," the PMO said on Twitter.
