Horse, mule journey banned for Kedarnath

Following directions from the Uttarakhand high court to maintain sanitation on the pedestrian route to Kedarnath from Gaurikund, the movement of horses and mules has been temporarily suspended.

The decision came in the wake of the high court expressing dissatisfaction over sanitation on the 14 km-long pilgrimage route, additional chief officer of Rudraprayag district panchayat, Yashwant Rawat said.
