Thackeray's death huge loss for Maharashtra: Tendulkar

India's cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar also paid his respects to Bal Thackeray, who passed away in Mumbai.Tendulkar is playing for India in the ongoing first cricket Test at Ahmedabad.

He spoke to reporters at the end of the third day's play, saying that the veteran leader has made immense contribution to Maharashtra.

"I am sad to hear about Balasaheb's demise. Unfortunately I'm in Ahmedabad, would have liked to pay my respects personally."

"His contribution to Maharashtra was immense. It's a terrible loss, he will always be remembered and missed."
