In Sena strongholds police keep vigil all night

Shiv Sainiks heaved a sigh of relief last night as Uddhav Thackeray stepped out of Matoashree and said that Bal Thackeray was fine and will get better.

However, the city continues to be on high alert with 48,000 policemen patrolling the streets. Outside Matoshree, anti-riot squads and the Rapid Action Force kept vigil all night.

Sena strongholds like Lower Parel and Dadar, home of the party headquarters, are well guarded.
