Updates on the Nupur Talwar story in a bit.

Meanwhile, our sources in Delhi tell us that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha will discuss the state's annual plan on May 15 in New Delhi with
the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Dr Montek Singh
Ahluwalia.

Insiders in the PMO, while not denying that Jayalalithaa has also sought an appointment with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on May 15 before her meeting with Dr Ahluwalia, say that Jayalalitha is a stickler for protocol.

As the PM is chairman of the Planning Commission, she wants to meet him first.
Jayalalithaa also wanted to make a courtesy call on the Election Commission
but her officials are learnt to have advised her not to do so.
