Army Chief's bribe allegations very serious: Antony

Defence AK Antony says that the Army Chief VK Singh's allegations are very serious and will be looked into.

In Parliament today, the the BJP said that, "Gen VK Singh's bribe case is a serious matter. The army chief has named the person who offered him bribes. The govt should take action immediately." 

In an interview to The Hindu, General VK Singh, who recently lost his date of birth battle, claimed that he was offered a bribe of Rs 14 crore by an equipment lobbyist for clearing the purchase of 600 substandard vehicles. The army chief also added that the defence minister AK Antony was apprised of the matter.
