Finally! Monsoon hits Kerala coast

The Met Department announces that the South-West monsoon has arrived in Kerala. The Indian Meteorological Department had announced yesterday that the monsoon would hit the Kerala coast in the next 48 hours. IMD in a statement issued yesterday said that weather conditions are "becoming favourable" for the arrival of monsoon rains over southern Kerala coast. Generally, Monsoon arrives on Kerala's shore on June 1.
