Kevin Rudd's Indian connection

Kevin Rudd was in the news in Indian newspapers last year over Australia's sale of uranium to India.

He had said that the sale "would not start automatically" after the Labor government's reversal of a ban against its export to the country. Stating that the policy change was aimed at cultivating good ties with India, Rudd had said that it "won't automatically translate into a beginning of sales.
