World No 1 Novak Djokovic wins Laureus Sports Awards

To keep you up to speed, Serbian tennis star and World No 1, Novak Djokovic won the Sportsman of the Year at the 2012 Laureus Sports Awards. Kenyan distance runner Vivian Cheruiyot, who won the 5,000 and 10,000-metre titles at the world championships last year, clinched the sportswoman of the Year honour, while Spanish football giants, Barcelona, captured the best team trophy.
