Rediff.com's Prasanna A Zore reporting from Ahmedabad:

A couple of meters away from Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, which is where the Congress has its state headquarters a motley group discuss the Gujarat poll results. Rahil Shaikh, Javid Baghban and Sohil Solanki, all Congress workers have been analysing the results streaming in on the TV set before them. "We are a bit dejected by the results," says Solanki. All four believe that the Congress could have done better.

"We were upbeat when there was record turnout in both the phases," says Baghban, "but now that the leads are in BJP's favour, we are naturally upset. We had a better development programme than the BJP," he says.

So far Modi is leading with a whopping 81,644 votes from Maninagar, an obvious win against Shweta Bhatt. #Live-gujarat-results
