No resolution for Sena's no-trust move
December 11, 2012  19:37
The fate of the no-trust motion moved by Shiv Sena against the Congress-NCP coalition government in Maharashtra hangs in balance on the second day of the winter session in Mumbai.

The motion, submitted by Shiv Sena to the Speaker on November 27, came up for mentioning today but the party failed to pursue it, which virtually amounted to the motion getting lapsed.

As per Rule 95 of the State Legislature, the no-confidence motion needs to be mentioned in the Lower House within two days and accordingly, Speaker Dilip Walse Patil asked the Opposition, particularly Shiv Sena group leader Subhash Desai, whether to take up the motion today.
