DMK distances itself from MP's prayer for Kanimozhi's release

Lending support to DMK MP Kanimozhi at the CBI trial court today are her husband and her mother.

In Chennai, the party distanced itself from special prayers reportedly conducted by a Rajya Sabha member for Kanimozhi's release, terming it as an "unilateral act" which lacked the party's consent.

Stanley had reportedly conducted a special 'pooja' at a temple in Kancheepuram yesterday, seeking the early release of Kanimozhi.
