Saudi Arabia on Tuesday severed all ties with the Taleban regime in Afghanistan.
"The Saudi government announces that all relations with the Taleban are cut," a statement released by the official SPA news agency said.
The United States has accused the Taleban, which is headed by Mullah, Mohammed Omar, of giving shelter to Osama bin Laden, the prime suspect behind the attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and Pentagon near Washington DC.
On Saturday, the United Arab Emirates had announced that it was snapping diplomatic relations with the militia.
Pakistan is now the only country to have links with the Taleban.
