In a bid to bring to an end the hostility towards Muslims that had flared up in the aftermath of last week's attacks in New York and Washington, United States President George W Bush on Monday called for an end to violence against Muslims in the nation.
"Those who feel like they can intimidate our fellow citizens to take out their anger don't represent the best of America. They represent the worst of humankind, and they should be ashamed of that kind of behaviour," he said at an Islamic Centre.
