Vajpayee to visit Washington in November

US President George Bush has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to visit Washington on November 9.

Announcing this in New Delhi on Wednesday, visiting US Secretary of State Colin Powell said Vajpayee had accepted the invitation.

"We know the prime minister is coming to US for the UN General Assembly in November and my president has extended an invitation to him to come to Washington on November 9," he said.
