The reports said the president made this announcement on Wednesday after chairing a cabinet meeting.
Commenting on the widespread protests in the country against the raids on Afghanistan, Gen Musharraf said there were no such problems at hand, saying some people were spreading disinformation, rumours and exaggerated views.
"Only Afghan refugees along with a limited number of extremists are taking part in protests, and there is no public reaction at all,'' the newspaper quoted the president as saying.
Gen Musharraf said all preventive measures had been taken to deal with the situation.
"We will not tolerate any activities by extremists which are aimed at damaging national assets or national interest,'' he said, adding that ''Stern action would be taken against any person involved in law-breaking activities,'' the reports said.
According to the newspaper, Gen Musharraf blamed the loss and damage to property in Quetta on the slackness of the provincial and district administration.
