In a bid to prevent an American strike on Afghanistan, the Taleban on Saturday said it would release eight Western aid workers, provided the US does not launch an attack, according to a report on NBC News.
"If the US assures the people (of Afghanistan) that they will not be targeted, then they (the aid workers) will be able to return home for the winter," a government statement said.
