The Afghan Islamic Press on Tuesday said four United States military personnel were killed when their helicopter crashed in Pakistan after taking fire from the Taleban militia.
An agency report quoted a Pakistani official as saying that a US helicopter had crashed in Chaghi district, near the Afghan border to the north of the Dalbandin air base in Baluchistan province.
"It took fire in Afghanistan and it managed to enter into Pakistan where it crashed. The Americans tried to remove the debris," a senior Baluchistan provincial official was quoted as saying in the report.
"They managed to remove some of it but some of it is still lying there," he added.
