Indian eves into World Cup semis

The Indian women's cricket team pulled off a convincing five-wicket win over South Africa to enter the the semi finals of the Sixth Hero Honda Women's World Cup tournament in Patna on Monday.

Winning the toss, South Africa elected to bat first but off the very first ball of the match, star player Linda Oliver was declared leg before to Renu Margret. However, Dallon Terblanche (25) and Cindy Eksteen (24) were the top scorers, with no other player making it to double figures.

For India, Deepa Kulkarni gave an excellent display, taking two wickets in 9.1 overs in which seven were maidens and conceded only four runs. While Purnima Rao took two wickets for 24 runs, Renu Margret also picked up two for 13.
