Dungarpur stonewalls on Prabhakar issue

With Justice Chandrachud having submitted his report at the conclusion of the one-man commission's enquiry into betting, bribery and match-fixing in cricket, the obvious question is, what next?

Specifically, considering that it all began with Manoj Prabhakar's allegations -- which Justice Chandrachud has dismissed as a tissue of lies -- the question is, will any action be taken against the former India all-rounder?

Surprisingly, the question draws blank looks from all concerned. BCCI president Raj Singh Dungarpur, to whom the question was addressed, responded with a terse "No comment".

When pressed, Dungarpur said that as a first step, the Justice Chandrachud report would be discussed at the board meeting scheduled for December 14, in Calcutta.

"The report will be discussed in its entirety, and it is up to the board to collectively decide whether any action should be taken against Prabhakar," says Dungarpur.
