Rohan Bopanna and his new partner Max Mirnyi accounted for the third seeded Mikhail Youzhny and Mischa Zverev in the opening round of the USD 1,049,000 St Petersburg Open on Wednesday.
Indian Davis Cupper Bopanna and Belarusian Mirnyi took exactly one hour to script the ouster of Russian-German pair 6-3, 6-4 to move into the quarterfinals of the hard court event.
They will take on Russian pair of Igor Kunitsyn and Marat Safin for a place in the semifinals.
