India's Davis Cup player Karan Rastogi has withdrawn his signature from the letter that was written by the rebelling faction in the national team asking for Leander Paes to be replaced as captain.

AITA secretary general Anil Khanna confirmed on Monday that he received an e-mail from Rastogi's father, Rahul, saying Karan would be available to play for India under any captain.

"We did receive an e-mail from his father," confirmed Khanna. "We hope it is on behalf of Karan."

India's top singles players -- Rohan Bopanna and Prakash Amritraj -- led the revolt against Paes, saying that they were not comfortable with him in the captain's chair and the veteran player put his interests above that of the team.

In an interview to news channel CNN IBN Rastogi had said that he was unhappy with some things in the team.

"I have been part of the team for the past 2-3 years; I even played a couple of matches last year. So I know what's been happening with the team... and obviously been a little unhappy with the way things have happened," the 22-year-old from Mumbai had said.

Rastogi is currently playing an ITF Futures event in New Delhi.

His father, when queried, refused to comment, saying they are now concentrating on the matches and would speak on the matter later.
