Beckham to go on Milan's Dubai tour

December 13, 2008 17:54 IST

David Beckham said on Friday he will go on AC Milan's tour of Dubai during Italian Serie A's winter break but again reiterated he would be returning to Los Angeles Galaxy once his short loan spell is over.

Beckham, who is joining Milan to keep his fitness up and stay in the England picture during the US close season, will not be able to play officially for the Rossoneri until January.

"David will join up with his new AC Milan team mates later this month for their winter training camp in Dubai. He'll arrive in the United Arab Emirates along with the rest of the Milan squad...on December 29," a statement said on his official website.

"David will stay with Milan until March, when he will return to LA Galaxy in time to begin the 2009 MLS season."

Last week Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani hinted the club would like to keep the 33-year-old longer.

Galliani also said Beckham would arrive in Milan for a medical and news conference on December 20 before being unveiled to fans at Milan's last Serie A game before the winter break at home to Udinese on December 21.

Milan play Hamburg in a friendly in Dubai on January 6.
