In a bid to improve his coaching skills, East Bengal's successful trainer Subhash Bhowmick is looking to make a quick trip abroad to pick up tips by watching top football teams in training.

East Bengal, which bagged two successive National League titles under the tutelage of Bhowmick, are all set to retain his services for the next season, club sources told rediff.com.

But before the gruelling season begins, the burly, bespectacled coach wants to make a trip to the U.K. at his own cost to watch some top British club sides in pre-season training.

East Bengal, gearing up to assemble their new team for the next season under the instruction of Bhowmick, don't want the coach to be gone for long. They want him to wrap up his visit within a month.

According to club sources, Bhowmick had told them that he wanted to leave for London after the AFC Cup.

"He has still to decide which teams he wants to watch," a club source said.

East Bengal have a tie-up with Leicester City club, and it is possible that Bhowmick would visit them to watch their players train.

East Bengal want their coach to utilise his trip for another purpose -- spotting possible foreign recruits for next season.
