We have the best defence: Kezman

Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman believes his side's defensive prowess will give them the edge in their Champions League knockout round tie against Barcelona.

The English Premier League pace-setters meet the Spanish Primera Liga leaders in the first leg in Barcelona on Wednesday.

"It's the final before the final because the best teams at the moment are involved in the game and are going to face each other," Kezman told reporters.

"I think that Barcelona have the best attackers and that we have the best defence, so we will see what happens.

"If you look, our defence is playing brilliantly and we also have enough up front to beat them, so I think we can take advantage of that."

The 26-year-old Kezman has only scored three times for Chelsea since arriving from PSV Eindhoven last year but he is confident his goal touch will return.

"I've been very unlucky -- that's six or seven times now I've hit the crossbar -- but that's the way it is sometimes," Kezman said.

"But I know how hard I work and how strong I am mentally, so I'll keep going and it's only a question of time until I score goals."

Kezman is confident the Barcelona game will focus his team mates' minds following their FA Cup defeat at Newcastle on Sunday.

"We can't think too much about it at the moment, we do not have time to think about it. We have to think about the game in Barcelona and be focused about Barcelona," Kezman said.

"We are travelling out there and I am sure that is all we are going to think about because the FA Cup is finished and we can't change anything. We will just think about that because it is a massive game for us."
