Ace golfer Jyoti Randhawa fired a one-under 71 which proved good enough for him to finish tied-seventh at the 140 million Yen, Casio World tournament which concluded a the par-72 Ibusuki Golf Course in Kagosima, Japan on Sunday.

Randhawa's tournament tally stood at 14 -under 274.

Local golfer Katsumune Imai emerged the runaway winner with an aggregate of 24-under 264.

Imai's closest opponents were Brenden Jones and fellow Japanese pro Shingo Katayama who finished seven strokes behind the winner at 17-under 271 apiece. Suashi Tajima, Jong Duck-Kim and Suneyuki Nakajima occupied the tied-fourth place at 16-under 272.

The Indian golfer who was placed third overnight, gave it his best shot but such are the vagaries of professional golf that sometimes your best effort proves a shade short of what is required.

Randhawa can probably be faulted for the fact that he restrained himself from attacking the pin today. Percentage golf, which saw him retain his place in the top-ten for the first three days, was the order of the day in his final round as well.

"I didn't really attack the pin. Had I done so, probably I would have finished higher up the leader-board but it could also have gone the other way," said the 31-year old Rookie who earned a Japanese Tour card for 2003 after winning the Asian PGA Tour's Order of Merit in 2002.
