Karun Chandhok, who became the first Indian to win four races in the British F3 championship (scholarship class 2003), says his strategy to continue in British Formula 3 scholarship class for the second year has been fairly successful as the results have reflected.

Speaking to newspersons in Mumbai, the Channai-based driver said it not only helped him achieve better results for various tracks but also equipped him to end the season in a much stronger position.

The nation's youngest motorsport whiz kid, who is sponsored by JK-tyre, has been on pole position for four races, more than any one else in the championship. He is currently in second position in the standings with fourteen races still to go.

Commenting on his spectacular performance, Sanjay Sharma, head motorsports, JK Industries, said, "It is amazing to note how despite the races of the scholarship class and championship class running concurrently, we, with our year-old car, have been able to beat some Class A Formula 3 cars and have maintained our position in the top 10 of a total grid of 33 cars."

"There is no doubt," he added, "if Karun Chandhok maintains the consistency of such results, he will be in top most league of international motorsports within the next three years."
