The fifth seed Swiss, Ivo Heuberger, defeated Thailand's Danai Udomchoke 6-2, 6-3 to win the singles crown in the $25,000 Indian Oil Servo ATP Challenger tennis tournament at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association on Saturday.

Heuberger pocketed $3600 as winner's purse and 50 ATP entry points for his effort while Udomchoke had to be content with $2120 and 35 ATP points.

Heuberger was by far the better player, he played with focus and immense self-belief.

Udomchoke on the otherhand seemed to blow it under pressure. Probably, he was a bit too nervous, playing in his first Challenger final. There were very few moments when he played to his potential and failed to capitalise on his chances.

Though his attacking forehands forced Heuberger into a corner, the Thai was unable to sustain the pressure long enough to gain any advantage.

Heuberger, 160 in the ATP standings, was not afraid to play his shots, and caught out his his opponent in the sixth game to go 4-2 up in the first set. Displaying tremendous composure, he fought back from two break points down to win the next game and went on to the win the set.

The second set was similar to the first and Heuberger, easily, won the second set 6-3.

In the doubles final, Russia's Dmitry Vlasov and Radoslav Lukaev defeated fourth seeded Israeli pairing of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 to take home $1550 and 50 ATP points.
