Mauresmo parts from coach two weeks before French Open

France's Amelie Mauresmo announced on Tuesday she was parting company with coach Alexia Dechaume two weeks before the French Open.

Mauresmo, ranked 11th in the world, travelled to Rome for the Italian Open without Dechaume, who had been coaching her for 1-1/2 years.

"I believe we've reached the maximum we could do together," she said. "I need a coach who kicks my behind."

Charged with this task is Frenchman Loic Courteau who used to train France's Fed Cup team.
