Peng, Birnerova in final

Continuing her giant-killing spree, unseeded Shuai Peng and l. Birnerova shunted out their fourth and fifth seeded opponents respectively to set up a title clash in the $25,000 prize-money ITF women tennis tournament in Delhi on Friday.

Peng, who had scalped seeded players on her way to the semi-finals, humbled her compatriot and highly rated fourth seed Young Ja Choi in 6-1, 6-3.

In the other semi-final, l.Birnerova of the Czech Republic thrashed fifth seed Maria Kondratieva of Russia in a totally one-sided encounter, winning 6-1, 6-1.
