Sania enters pre-quarters in Egypt tournament

Sania Mirza advanced into the pre-quarter-finals of the Smash tennis international junior grade-3 tournament, being played in Cairo, Egypt.

The Hyderabad girl, who scored a grand double in South Africa on Saturday, dropped just four games before beating Aliaa Fakhry of Egypt 6-3, 6-1.

Last year, Sania had lost to Khalifa Amani of Egypt in the singles final and won the doubles title with Marzovic Wana of Yugoslavia in the tournament.
