Mukesh Kumar wins Royal Challenge golf

Mukesh Kumar survived a strong challenge from Arjun Singh to win the Royal Challenge Grand Prix at the par-70 Bombay Presidency Golf Club course in Mumbai on Friday.

The Mhow-based golfer, who had established a commanding lead on Thursday, the penultimate day of the tournament, carded a one-under 69 to finish with an aggregate of 15-under 265 and take home the winner's cheque of Rs 1,29,600. In the process, he picked his fourth title of the season.

Arjun Singh posted the best score of the day - a four-under 66 -- but could only finish three strokes behind with a score of 12-under 268. He earned Rs 89,600.

Digvijay Singh and Shiv Shankar Prasad Chowrasia finished joint third.
