Arjun, Mukesh are Hero Honda
golfers of the month

Arjun Singh and Mukesh Kumar were declared the winners of the prestigious Hero Honda 'Golfer of the Month' award for the months of November and December respectively following their consistent performances.

The winners will earn a glittering crystal trophy and a Hero Honda golf bag for their effort. The award has been initiated by Hero Honda Motors Ltd, the umbrella sponsors of the PGA Indian Tour, to recognize and reward excellence on the Tour.

Arjun Singh's choice is credited to his excellent performance in the Honda-Siel PGA Championship, the biggest event on the Hero Honda Golf Tour. Arjun dominated a quality field throughout the week and romped home to a wire-to-wire victory with a stunning score of 17-under 271 at the Rs three million tournament.

Mukesh Kumar has returned probably the most consistent performances in recent times on the Hero Honda Golf Tour. December saw the current Money List leader essay a victory in the Servo Masters, a runner-up finish at the HT ProGolf - Kolkata and top-five finish in the remaining two events - Surya Nepal Masters in Kathmandu and at the Royal Challenge Grand Prix in Noida.

This also marks the second time in four months that Mukesh has won the Hero Honda Golfer of the Month award. Earlier, he had bagged the award in October.

The award is judged by a three-member panel which assesses the leading performances in every tournament before zeroing in on the most consistent golfer over a month. Also considered by the panel is exceptional performance in a single tournament as well. The panel of judges includes Sampath Chari, Executive Director, Professional Golfers' Association of India (PGAI), Prabhdev Singh, Associate Editor, Golfline, and Brandon de Souza, President, Tiger Sports Marketing.
