Mirza, Smolenakov in doubles final

Indian junior Sania Mirza and Linda Smolenakov of Slovakia stormed into the women's doubles final of the Victorian Grade II girls tennis championship played at Traralgon, Australia on Tuesday.

The Indo-Slovakian pair, seeded second in the event, defeated eight seeded pair of Katja Blocker of Germany and Hanna Nooni of Sweden 7-5, 6-2.

Earlier in the singles, top seeded Sania had lost to Australian Darya Ivanov 1-6, 0-6 in the quarter-finals.
