Kunal Rawal tops: National bowling

With most of the leading bowlers in action on the last day of the Challengers' round in the ColorPlus National bowling championships, Kunal Rawal led the bowlers with a total score of 2638 points to enter in the final round of the event.

The top five leading bowlers other than Kunal Rawal were Avit Nazareth, N. Jayakumar, Saad Sayeed, Aljai Batheja and Deepak Gupta, who all have qualified for the finals, to be held in Bombay, from October 10 to 14.

"I played extremely well; the strikes that I achieved towards the end of the game helped me get back into the reckoning. The field was very wide and competitive and I hope to perform well in the Masters round," said Rawal, reflecting on his fine performance.

Avit Nazareth was second, with a score of 2607 points, N. Jayakumar third, with 2605 points, Saad Sayeed fourth, with 2568 points, Aljai Batheja fifth, with 2563 points, and Deepak Gupta sixth, with 2552 points.
